Hi Josie & Delaney
This is just to say thank you for all the help and information you
have given me. I know you are busy with your baby so do not
feel that there is any need to reply to this.
When I first contacted I was not sure how genuine this website was.
But I have a good feeling of honesty from you and I know you are a
good person by the amount of time you have taken to respond to my
questions.
I have read the story of you and Delaney a couple of times and love
looking at the photographs of his first meeting with your family.
It is a very warm story, you can tell there is a lot of love
involved from both of you which is why I think you will both be very
happy for ever. I only hope I find someone as good as you and
I too can experience that happiness.
You are right in what you said about the people in America. I
came here four years ago after my then girlfriend proposed marriage
to me. I was living and working in London at the time and had
met her while on vacation in the USA in a ski resort. I
accepted her proposal thinking this was truly the one for me.
I was 42 yrs old and had never been married before and had wanted to
chose the right one. My parents have been married for 60 yrs
and I wanted the same sort of relationship that they had. My
ex wife had a daughter from a previous marriage and I really enjoyed
the time I spent with her. Things did not work out between us
and it was very disappointing to end the marriage so quickly and not
see the daughter again. But I have to look to the future now
and hopefully will meet someone nice.
Most people in California are so obsessed with money that they never
look at the kind of person they are dating, what they are like on
the inside, how kind they are, how loving they are. It's just
about how rich you are and nothing to do with feelings. That
is why the divorce rate is so high I think. I know a couple of
ladies that would not go out with me because I was not in a high
paid job and have my own business. I am glad they left me
because that is not the sort of woman I want to be in love with.
I worked for 7 years in the mountains as a ski instructor in France
and New Zealand and had a great time. Money was never talked
about, I made a lot of good friends and still have them as friends.
It is very different to California.
Well, I guess this is the hard part, waiting and hoping that someone
replies to my letters. I do not know which would be worse,
getting no replies or 15 replies . It would be a very hard
decision to make.
Thanks again Josie for all your help and time. Maybe when I
come out to the Philippines next year on vacation I can meet you and
Delaney.
