Hi I had met my fiancé 2 years ago and we are just now approaching
her fiance visa interview in Manila. The reason it took so long to
get to this point was that I myself am in a wheelchair due to a car
wreck 19 yrs ago... I'm 36 now and my fiance is 21.. she also lives
in Mangagoy as does your wife I found out from reading your story.
So normally the requirement in order to get a fiance visa petition
approved you must have met in person within 2 years of filing for
the petition, but since I cannot travel long distances due to my
disability. I already knew that I could try to get a waiver that
would waive the meeting in person beforehand requirement but I
didn't think it would be that hard.
Anyways we finally got the waiver and USCIS approved my fiance visa
petition. It took awhile coz we 1st had to try to get her a tourist
visa because I cannot fly to her so she tried to come to me but she
got denied her tourist visa but it actually was good news in a way
because her getting denied was proof to show USCIS that we
desperately needed that waiver because now she nor I could travel to
meet one another beforehand.
So now they finally approved her fiance petition and now the
petition just arrived at US embassy in Manila so now they told me it
will take 3 to 5 months to go to her visa interview said she will
receive her K1 visa packet in the mail 1 to 2 months before her
scheduled interview. So anyways that's my story up until now...Dec.
30th 2006 and I had read on your site here to share stories
etc...and if I needed any help...hopefully I won't need any help but
just wanted you to know what's going on with us.

hello i came upon this by accident...and i am very pleased!! your
story is related to ours.
i found my wife when i sent away for a pamphlet o f asian ladies...i
wrote quite a few and did so for some time. finally over the years,
they mostly petered off, yet there was one that constantly wrote.
so i continued writing. this was a period of 7years or more...
finally i realized that i was spending over a thousand dollars for
one week at hampton beach new hampshire, or two weeks. and then i
realized through my asian friends at work i could fly around the
world or so it seemed to me, for only 800 dollars! so as God would
have it i did just that! after the third trip over there, we
decided to marry. we did paperwork ourselves and it took two years,
and then she came here. life has been really good since and forever
will be. that is the reason i had to write you two when i saw your
conversed by penpal letters....

I am new to the Philippine sites. I am a American Black man who has
just about given up on the Women of my area. I am a single Dad of 2
small boys living in the northwest Mississippi area. I am amazed at
the beauty of these Filipina Women. I have joined another site
before I got to see yours.
I am truly amazed of seeing that I could get a 1,000 to 2,000 Peso
living space there. With me being retired, me and my kids would live
great.
I am going to continue to search for my Filipina and hopefully my
dream of a lifetime partner will come true. I am hoping that by
December 2007---I will be at least into the process of having her
here or on her way. I am not sure of my living there since i have a
