Hope you have a Merry Christmas... and next week a Happy New Year.
We have over 50 couples together from our site and no problems.
Just be sure you get to know the guy through your letters and later maybe he calls you. You have to become friends first and that is the way we did it... and we have no problems. Be sure they send you real letters and not lazy guy just want to use email.  If he is not patient to wait for letters,  he may not be good to you and be patient with you when you are there by his side.  If he is always rush, rush,  then be careful of him.  When you receive his letter you see the way he writes and that tells you alot about him.  Email at first is NOT good.... you can't see his handwriting.  Email is good "later" when you are sure he is a good man that is serious to you, and you are waiting to meet each other face to face in person in the Philippines.

Good Day!!!

I don't know exactly if I am doing the right thing now. I am a Filipina and I don't know what else is the best way for me to be able to achieve my dreams. I keep on asking help through the internet so that I might be able to keep on living but I think I just can't find somebody with a big heart to help me. I think I've exhausted all my means and I think the best way is to look for a fiancé. i think meeting somebody on the net or being a mail order bride is the best option that I can have as of the moment. I can speak English very well and I'm trying to study 2 new languages which are Nihonggo and Spanish.

As you see, I am living independently and there's really nobody to turn to if problem arises. I've been trying all the possible things for me not to give up life. I hope you can help me with this.

I can give you the assurance that I am a hardworking person but chances of having a job here in my country is so scarce. I've been working hard but compensation is not really enough. I think it's because I have so many things to pay for. If I only have a house and a family to stay with, I think my life would be a little easy, but I think I'm just so unlucky to have this kind of life now...

I really hope to have a positive result. I assure you that i got a presentable physical appearance. I am 22 now and I'll be turning 23 on January, I'm getting older and I have to make things possible for my future. I just also need somebody who will care for me and would love me and I know how to reciprocate things..

Yes...  we have friends from here in Destin, Florida that moved to Cagayan de Oro in the suburbs and bought a lot on the water and built a nice inexpensive home there.  He is American and she is a Filipina from there and they have lived there one year already without any incidents at all.  There are not as many problems in the Philippines as there are in America,  it is only that the problems get publicized and made a big deal of.  All we have to do here is read the newspapers in the USA and there are more problems here....

Thanks for the Birthday wishes and yes we are definitely planning for our move to the Philippines. I have already been there 4 times and Josie just returned from visiting there for almost 5 weeks. She brought back several videos that she took there of everyone singing video karaoke all the time. They were saying Hi to me and wishing me Happy Birthday on the tape. Her family and friends are great people and it will be nice to celebrate occasions with our family there.

Our income will go 3 times farther there and we are not rich people so this will give us a nice comfortable life. We also plan to adopt one or two children in the next couple of years. Josie wants to wait a little while, but we will see when we get there.

Our plans are for Josie to go there around May and find us a house.... then I will wrap up all the final duties here and go to join her there.

Josie is not happy with the culture here, as she says so many American women do not have respect for their husband. She does not associate with those type women.... but she does have several really nice Filipino friends here (that are also married to Americans) that she associates with. They get together a lot and have small parties, enjoying cooking Filipino dishes, and they enjoy going to yard sales on the weekends.

It looks like we will plan our move there around June, 2004.    We thought before we would move to Cebu,  but now we think Davao is the best for us so we can be between all our friends and family there.   She said in Cebu she would still be like a stranger...   The whole idea is to have a new life there and being able to celebrate special occasions with those we love and those that love us....

In 1976 I (26( had an older (55) pen pal from Michigan who married me and brought me here in the States. He was my Savior, my best friend, my super wonderful husband for 21 great years, then he passed away. The age difference did not matter at all.

Today is his birthday. I miss him very much. I'm now a retired accountant with very happy and comfortable life here in the States. I was able to bring my parents and 6 siblings here in the States.

I'm here in  Georgia and like many others I'm married to a matured 
American. ( doesn't matter to me ) This is my second marriage as my 
first husband died last Dec. 25, 1998 at 12:00 midnight. It was the most 
saddest, hurtful, scariest moment in my life and I still feel the pain in my
heart thinking about it. 

He was an olderly man but God Knows how lucky was I  to have been loved
like he did to me. He sent me to school trying to prepare my future here in the

Thank you for your letter to us.
 
We do receive a lot of photos that we cannot scan good to publish.
Pictures that do not show the face good, or the quality of the photo 
is poor we do not publish.  We select 50 new ladies each month so 
if you do not see them in the November updates,  you should 
recommend to them to be sure the photos are good and re-submit 
their applications to us.  Also be sure to write us a letter along with 
the application and explain this is their 2nd time to submit.
 
On our last couple of vacations, Josie has been taking videos instead
of still pictures but we will try to get some new photos of us to post 
in the future.  We are very happy and just are staying very busy with
everything.

, I hope some of the English men are making a stop at your site, 
because they will not find better partners in life, than Filipina ladies, the 
qualities they have of Love, mutual respect and honesty, trust and

I just wanted to write you and let you know I just returned from my "Filipina Lady Adventure Tour" to Cebu City yesterday. I had a great trip and really enjoyed the Philippines. It was the most exciting thing I have ever done in my life!! I just wanted to thank-you guys for all the accommodations and my guide "Jurek" was just great.

Hello Josie and Delaney,
I just returned from visiting the Philippines two weeks ago.  I was there for three weeks.  Maria   met me at the airport.  We had been writing, emailing, and speaking on the telephone since early February, so we knew each other from letters and, of course, had exchanged photographs.  Maria and I had agreed not to talk about love while we corresponded.  She ended her letters with "Take Care," etc.  But, we had both learned to care for each other.  When I saw her at the airport, it was love at first site.  And the love was like a lighting-bolt for both of us.  We spent time together for three weeks and then had the tearful "goodbye" at the airport.  However, we both know that we have begun a lifetime together and this separation, although long, is temporary We are engaged now. 

I met and got along with her family.  Hopefully, Maria's two good-looking, younger sisters will send their applications to appear on the "Filipina Lady" web page.  They are both very nice young woman. Both are pretty and neither have boyfriends.  And, like Maria, a bit shy.

Anyway, I could write endlessly about the incredible experience visiting the Philippines, riding jeepneys for 4 Pesos, taking a shower in a plastic bucket, learning to eat with a spoon in my right hand, and how we have fallen deeply and truly in love.  But, I am writing just to say thank you for bringing so much happiness into our lives.  I cannot imagine how many times you have heard this similar story.  In many ways my experience was similar to your happy story on the web page.  Thank you for offering the best "pen-pal" web pages on the internet.  Thanks for the advice you gave me a few months ago both by email and on the telephone.  You guys have been so great!

I have been only one time on the Philippines, but it was an unforgettable experience to me, how friendly and charming they have been to me.

In the most situations is this people helpful and co-operative and in no way complicated. Respectfully I also have to say, that's not easy in a world like that, to bring people together for a new family. It would be nice for me to find my mate also, but in Europe is this a difficult action.
Sometimes I dream to stay on the Philippines for ever with my wife and  her family, so that we can make our own business there and have a happy life. Places like Bacolod City seem to be perfect for that and the City council does a lot to increase the quality of life for the community. A
loving Filipina could also inspire a man to do things, he never did before.

I met my lady in Cebu also - in August 2001, and then traveled to Zamboanga to meet her family, some who had come from their village of Lapuyan, and asked her father for his daughter's hand in marriage - even though Cathy's age meant we didn't need to, just felt it was the "right thing to do" We got married in Rotorua, NZ in December of 2001 and returned to the Philippines in September of 2002 for our second wedding. Our (first?) baby daughter was born on 10th January 2003, which makes her just over six months old. We do have a website at www.geocities.com/muldrocks which I am supposed to be updating instead of surfing! Better get back to it!

I've been to the Philippines in January this year for my first time.
I am 39y old originally from Germany but i live and work in London UK for the last 3 years.
Like many other man, I was positive surprised about the friendliness of Filipina Women and i met a nice girl from Manila on my second day and i fall in Love to her.
We spend my Holiday together and after 2 weeks i went back home.
We have been in a daily contact via Phone and more and more i felt that she is the right women for me and i decided to meet her again in April this year.
We spend 2 weeks together on Boracay and we had a lovely time.
In this 2 weeks we was sure that we are for each other.
And we decided that she will visit me here in London and we applied for a Tourists Visa a few weeks later.
I've send all the necessary paperwork for the application.
She got her appointed for the interview very fast and i was quiet sure that she will get her Visa.
But I was wrong, her visa have been refused !
The main reason where; she is single, unemployed with no education, savings or property in the Philippines, so they think she wont come back.
I will apply again for a Tourists Visa but this time i want to get sure and be prepared !
Yes I know I could go for a fiancée Visa or Spouses Visa and marry her but first i want to invite her as a Tourists to get sure she will like it here and when she is happy, yes we want to get married later.
I want to marry her because i Love her not just because for a Visa.
Is anyone out there, who have the same experienced and help me.
I want to know what i can do for the next application.

As a past customer, I wish to thank you for the joy you have brought to my life. After subscribing to your service and writing to several women (yes folks, they do write back), I made the decision to travel to Cebu and meet a special lady named Janet. We had written each other religously and talked on the phone almost everyday.

We had some logistical concerns to work out. Janet was working in Taiwan at time, however I knew she was special and really wanted to meet her. Being familiar with the Philippines, I decided to go it alone (not recommended for first time travellers), and met her and every family member at the airport in Cebu.

To make a long story short, I had an absolute great time. After some initial questioning of my intentions by goodhearted family members, I was accepted into the family with open arms. My new family and I, toured the Bohol (chocolate) mountains, went to the botanical gardens, the TOPS (Hollywood Hills), and yes even ate at Mr. A's (a favorite of Josie and Delaney). Crispy pata is the best.

I have been back 2x since and continue to have a ball. Janet and I have purchased some mountainside land and plan to open an Internet cafe near the Gaisano Mall towards the end of this summer.

Hi you site is very wonderfull i like all the things i see and read from it..but then also its fun coz im from the same village..i miss my town a lot i was there 2002 it was very fun to meet all my relatives, i havent been there for a long time coz i grew up in olongapo city,but anyway i love my birthplace a lot and no one can stop me from coming back...i live close to bagnan bislig and i happen to live with my brother in tabon mangagoy..i study first year high scool to second year then i move to olongapo..i been a sales lady for night shift in some small cofee shop in Aircondition Car (van) in mangagoy that drive travelers to davao and back..i know all the van driver but i think things has change some are still there and some where left.. i miss all the people in our village specially hearing them while talking..now im here in sweden coz my sister used to live in sweden with her boyfriend then she come back with a man who just devorce a yr ago...he courted me and things get!

My best friend and former lover is Filipina, born in San Francisco.  Through the 2 plus years of knowing her and getting to know her Pacific Islander culture, I've grown to respect and admire these most passionate people.  My question to you both is why does it take so long to get a green card?  Why can not someone fast track this so you can both be together now?
My Filipina friend also tells me that I will get kidnapped and held for ransom once leaving the Manila airport.

Hi Dennis,

It takes a considerable amount of time for a Petition for a Visa for a Filipina because of so much immigration abuse in the past years.  The Filipina must have a Police Clearance, NBI Clearance, CFO Certification, Medical Exam, plus have all her Birth Certificate information correct and in order.  You must personally meet her and show proof of a Love Relationship to be approved (Several Photos of the two of you together and many post office letters from you to her and from her to you - NOT EMAIL or MAIL FORWARDING).   Since September 11th,  things are even tighter now, but usually 6 months for a Fiancé Visa, and 1 Year if you marry in the Philippines and petition a Spousal Visa. This is if all your requirements are met and your paperwork is filed without errors.

As for being kidnapped, although possible, if you are not a political or religious figure, and if you have a "Filipino Guide" or stay in the company of your Filipina Lady and her friends and family members, you should not experience any problems whatsoever except meeting beautiful and friendly Filipino people.  I have been in the Philippines four times already and we have over 50 guys that have become engaged and married to a Filipina Lady,  without any incidents of any crimes whatsoever being committed by Filipinos, Abu Sayaf, Pick Pockets, Muggers or any other related incidents.

You stand hundreds of times more chances of being injured or killed in a car wreck by a drunk driver here on our own highways than you stand the chance of anything happening to you in the Philippines.  You just use common sense, and stay in good company on your Filipina Lady visits.

Just do some research by using search engines and be sure you pay attention to the date of any occurrences (There is a lot of OLD information that is not current).

Hi....we put application into embassy for fiancé visa permit.  Vilma was previously married, but tried to get it thru as single gal.  Her ex is gone and she had no papers.  Well, they pick up that she was married and block the visa. We now have a judge in philippines helping get her an annulment so we can reapply.  Are we doing right thing.  We paid legal help already, and she didn't hold any back.. thats the part that's worrying me.  Anyhow, she says he honest and won't be long.  I know family, honest and have accepted me.  It's the delay that bothers me.  Any way for us to speed things up.  I want her here by end of year.  Been to visit her twice now.  Considering relocating and living in Angeles City area.  But really would prefer somewhere by water.  Anyhow, nice chatting.  Hope to hear soon.

Hi my name is Kerry and I was stationed in the Philippines for a year and a half back in 81-82. I was at Cubi Point NAS at Subic Bay.

First thing I want to say is that your site blew me away and to say congratulations on your finding each other.

While stationed there I feel in love with the Philippines and especially the Filipino people. And I also feel in love there with a beautiful filipina named Florida Acosta from San Miquel Tarlac. She worked on base as a civilian mess attendant at the Cubi Pt Enlisted Dining Facility , that is where I also worked. When I left I was going to send for her and we were going to marry but things didn't work out.

I have been looking for her for about 3 years with no luck. I think she married a US marine and came to the US.

I am planning on visiting the Philippines in Oct for the first time since I left in 82 on a tour of Manila, Angeles City and Olongapo. While there I hope to find some of our old friends and to find out where she might be so that I can apologize to her.

If you know of anyways that I might be able to find her, well I'm all ears.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hi I see that you are from Fort Walton, that makes us neighbors I live in Panama City, Florida. I also married a philippino back in 1998. She is from a small fishing village in Tabogon on the Island of Cebu.
Since wev'e been married we purchased some property North of Bogo on the Eastern side of the Island on the Camotes Sea.

My story is quite similar to your story.
I guess, not everybody having the same luck as we have.
I have a story to tell too. When I was in college, I had a group of friends who had so many penpals, & I was the only one who didn't have a Penpal..I had no intention to have a BF thru writing but all I wanted was to exchange stories, and wanted develop my english writing...

It started in 1984,thru the help of my friend, my name was published in the Friendship bulletin in Chula vista California since then I received letters from someone in the USA.
we exchanged letters and sharing ideas, jokes, stories by writing....this guy did not call me but instead he sent me letters everyweek and I was so excited about that ...and happy to received letters from someone abroad, after 2 years of knowing each other I decided to moved to another university until I finished college ..we stopped communicating because I moved....almost 6 months that we didn't have communication, and I did not tell him that I moved to another place..so I sent him a letter asking for sorry for not responding all his letters...so again we continued communicating in writing, sending pictures....then 4 years after we became closer each other, he was calling me overseas, we talk over the phone. over the phone,He proposed to marry me after knowing him thru penpal and sending pictures...because of his love and respect, He sent me money for the preparation to our wedding, he trusted me to received all the money for the wedding package expenses. 
We met face to face, we met 2 weeks before our wedding day.
I had a grand wedding day held at the hotel in 1988, We went to Indonesia for a honeymoon.
He is a pinoy, educated & professional, born in Manila.
We both live together happily with children here in the USA.
We meant for each other. I would say that age doesn't matter.
This is my story.

I have a question concerning being married in the Philippines vs the U.S. I have amet a young lady in the Philipines and we want to be married in the Philipines but I understand it will take over a year for her to come to the U.S but if we marry in the U.S. it will take only 4 monthes or so. I found your site by looking for penpals in the philippines as I have now begun planning a trip there for late this year (december).

I had wanted to make friends as I have a bit of fear going someplace out of the country and knowing little to nothing about where to go, what to and not to do, and without having a single soul to meet and be friends with while I visit.

Any tips or pointers would be forever appreciated.  I too would consider a philippino wife if I were ever to get lucky enough to meet someone compatible and willing to live in states.

How did you 2 meet?

Well not to bother, but any forsight and insight from either of you would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Josie & Delaney,  I have met a beautiful Filipina lady from Bais City, Negros. We have been corresponding and exchanging pics for a while now and have developed great chemistry. I am currently making plans to visit her hopefully during the summer or early fall. One concern I have is safety in the Philippines.

She says it is safe and nothing will stop me from going there, I was just looking for some advice on this situation. I have a 16 yr old daughter and I don't want to do anything to put her future in jeopardy. But I have to meet my special lady as soon as possible. Any advice would be deeply appreciated.
