Hope you have a Merry Christmas... and next week a Happy New Year.
We have over 50 couples together from our site and no problems.
Just be sure you get to know the guy through your letters and later maybe he calls you. You have to become friends first and that is the way we did it... and we have no problems. Be sure they send you real letters and not lazy guy just want to use email.  If he is not patient to wait for letters,  he may not be good to you and be patient with you when you are there by his side.  If he is always rush, rush,  then be careful of him.  When you receive his letter you see the way he writes and that tells you alot about him.  Email at first is NOT good.... you can't see his handwriting.  Email is good "later" when you are sure he is a good man that is serious to you, and you are waiting to meet each other face to face in person in the Philippines.

Good Day!!!

I don't know exactly if I am doing the right thing now. I am a Filipina and I don't know what else is the best way for me to be able to achieve my dreams. I keep on asking help through the internet so that I might be able to keep on living but I think I just can't find somebody with a big heart to help me. I think I've exhausted all my means and I think the best way is to look for a fiancé. i think meeting somebody on the net or being a mail order bride is the best option that I can have as of the moment. I can speak English very well and I'm trying to study 2 new languages which are Nihonggo and Spanish.

As you see, I am living independently and there's really nobody to turn to if problem arises. I've been trying all the possible things for me not to give up life. I hope you can help me with this.

I can give you the assurance that I am a hardworking person but chances of having a job here in my country is so scarce. I've been working hard but compensation is not really enough. I think it's because I have so many things to pay for. If I only have a house and a family to stay with, I think my life would be a little easy, but I think I'm just so unlucky to have this kind of life now...

I really hope to have a positive result. I assure you that i got a presentable physical appearance. I am 22 now and I'll be turning 23 on January, I'm getting older and I have to make things possible for my future. I just also need somebody who will care for me and would love me and I know how to reciprocate things..

Yes...  we have friends from here in Destin, Florida that moved to Cagayan de Oro in the suburbs and bought a lot on the water and built a nice inexpensive home there.  He is American and she is a Filipina from there and they have lived there one year already without any incidents at all.  There are not as many problems in the Philippines as there are in America,  it is only that the problems get publicized and made a big deal of.  All we have to do here is read the newspapers in the USA and there are more problems here....

Thanks for the Birthday wishes and yes we are definitely planning for our move to the Philippines. I have already been there 4 times and Josie just returned from visiting there for almost 5 weeks. She brought back several videos that she took there of everyone singing video karaoke all the time. They were saying Hi to me and wishing me Happy Birthday on the tape. Her family and friends are great people and it will be nice to celebrate occasions with our family there.

Our income will go 3 times farther there and we are not rich people so this will give us a nice comfortable life. We also plan to adopt one or two children in the next couple of years. Josie wants to wait a little while, but we will see when we get there.

Our plans are for Josie to go there around May and find us a house.... then I will wrap up all the final duties here and go to join her there.

Josie is not happy with the culture here, as she says so many American women do not have respect for their husband. She does not associate with those type women.... but she does have several really nice Filipino friends here (that are also married to Americans) that she associates with. They get together a lot and have small parties, enjoying cooking Filipino dishes, and they enjoy going to yard sales on the weekends.

It looks like we will plan our move there around June, 2004.    We thought before we would move to Cebu,  but now we think Davao is the best for us so we can be between all our friends and family there.   She said in Cebu she would still be like a stranger...   The whole idea is to have a new life there and being able to celebrate special occasions with those we love and those that love us....

In 1976 I (26( had an older (55) pen pal from Michigan who married me and brought me here in the States. He was my Savior, my best friend, my super wonderful husband for 21 great years, then he passed away. The age difference did not matter at all.

Today is his birthday. I miss him very much. I'm now a retired accountant with very happy and comfortable life here in the States. I was able to bring my parents and 6 siblings here in the States.

I'm here in  Georgia and like many others I'm married to a matured 
American. ( doesn't matter to me ) This is my second marriage as my 
first husband died last Dec. 25, 1998 at 12:00 midnight. It was the most 
saddest, hurtful, scariest moment in my life and I still feel the pain in my
heart thinking about it. 

He was an olderly man but God Knows how lucky was I  to have been loved
like he did to me. He sent me to school trying to prepare my future here in the

He is also older (64) and his Filipina Wife Joy is younger (23) and he also calls Joy his "Sweet Pea".....just like you.... very Cute Name. They will be married 2 years now, and they have a special love also..... very happy together (and very healthy). She keeps him young like I do my Delaney ( hehehe ) .....
