I just viewed your photo library and was overwhelmed by the beauty and simplicity of Josie's village! But that's not the main reason I'm writing you. I'm single now and 47 years old. I don't drink and I hate the bar scene. I've been working through a few dating services trying meet someone and haven't had any success. All the women around my age that I'm attracted to seem to have unrealistic expectations (knights in shining armor syndrome) of what they expect in a relationship and the younger women aren't interested in someone my age. I'm just a plain guy. No expensive cars, no beach homes around the country, no ranch on the open plains. I don't thrive on long walks on the beach and staying up all night to watch the sunrise. I like to fish and golf like many guys my age do. But as soon as I'm honest about that, must remind them of their last man, I'm not what their looking for.

Anyway, my brother mentioned to me about a friend of his that is on his fifth "overseas" wife. I found it strange that he keep losing (divorcing) his partners but was intrigued by the fact that he would try again. I don't know if they where Filipina Ladies or not. I did a Google search and your site was the first I went to. Ironically, it ended up to be the only one I found that I believed had any legitimacy to it. My question is, with so many ladies available, what is the best way to find your match? Do you converse with a few at a time and narrow it down or choose one at a time? It seems to me; by the way you describe the ladies that they're so sweet I could fall in love with the first one I spoke to!

Too cold here tonight to do anything but play on the computer.  Going down to 31 degrees tonight.  Makes me homesick for Kentucky, but they are supposed to have a white Christmas. 

Speaking of Christmas, I want to wish you and Josie a very Merry Christmas.

If I do not have to go back to work, I may come to the Philippines in the spring.  That's right, my heart has either been misdiagnosed or it has recovered to a point that I may have to go back to work.  I am up to 45% of heart function.  The normal individual that has never had a heart attack is around 55%, so I'm doing good.  Feel great but still do little around here at the house. I've had one good job offer but I'm afraid to take it.  I don't want to push myself into a heart attack.

Immigration papers are very complicated.  Delaney had to file a petition for me to come to the USA and it took us One Year before I had my USA Visa. You have to go to a seminar for protection of the Filipina abuse and you have a medical exam.  First the man must come and meet you in person in the Philippines and you need to have many post office letters....
with your Philippines STAMPS on them ( NOT EMAIL letters )  because Emails are easy to be FRAUD, and both the USA and the Filipino Government knows when you try to deceive them...  ALSO you need many real photos of the two of you together for proof of your Love relationship.  see our first photo album of Delaney visiting me here in the Philippines ( Click Here )

I have met this girl for 2 months now. I want to marry her but can't meet the 2 year requirement in meeting her to qualify for the k1 visa. I need for her to get a tourist visa to come to the USA. I then can apply for the K1 visa. She has contacted a travel agency in Cagayan de Oro city who will fill out the papers & go with her to Manila to get her tourist visa. They will require 50% down & the rest when the visa is in her hands.

I think you have been ill advised and they are just going to take a lot of money from you. The requirements for a Fiancé Visa is that you first come to the Philippines to meet your lady. You need to take a lot of photos of the two of you together...  and you will need a lot of documented letters between the two of you, and then you need to file for her Visa.  She will have to go through the process of the certification of what to do if she is abused by anyone ( especially her Fiancé).  

Maybe if you have a lot of money and want to pay off a lot of people, you can get her a Tourist Visa....   you can do it the way they tell you.  If you do it that way... we just wish you the best. 

Our Advise....   Come here to the Philippines, meet her family and friends and then file the proper documents to have her come to the states with a Fiance Visa.

We have already been through all of this, so if you find a better way....

First of all, the term "Mail Order Bride" is very much false for many years now.  Years ago there was such a thing but it is long gone because it was abused so much.  Now with all the Red Tape to get a foreign lady to the States, and with all the rigid requirements of the Philippines to protect the ladies and warn against abuse that could happen to them once they arrive in the states.  This pretty much gets rid of any 'Control Issues' that may occur.
