Glad to know you are doing good. I too met a beautifull filippina and we plan
to get married here in USA and then I plan to retire in Mindanao close to
Cagayan de Oro. It was very 'strange' to see that someone else had experienced
so similar an experience, despite all the negative publicity about Mindanao.
I will be returning to Mindanao this spring to see Vemme and her family again,
and will begin our search for a good location to build our home. As I sit here
in USA and await the departure date, thanks again for the uplifting story and
pictures.

HE WORKS A LOT & I TAKE CARE OF THE HOUSE, KIDS AND THE
BILLS). I MAKE SURE DINNER IS READY WHEN HE GETS HOME
FROM WORK, TIRED HUNGRY AND STUCK IN TRAFFIC!!! IN RETURN HE TAKES CARE
OF ME WHEN SOME MEN GO TO GAMBLING IN LAS VEGAS EVEN AS SIMPLE AS GETTING
'MY PERSONAL NEEDS"
(NO, ITS NOT WHAT YOU THINK, YOU DIRTY MINDED YOU!!!!...GETTING PERSONAL
THINGS LIKE "SANITARY NAPKINS" WHEN MOST MEN ARE TOO EMBARASSED TO BE STAYING
IN LINE FOR THAT).
3) HE MAKES ME LAUGH ESPECIALLY WHEN I'M NOT IN THE MOOD
4. WE ALWAYS TRY TO MAKE DAILY LIVES COMFORTABLE, LIVABLE,
HAPPY EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE LOTS OF RESPONSIBILITIES IN LIFE.
5. HE MAKES HIS FAMILY HIS PRIORITY
6. WE PRAYED A LOT TOGETHER
7. HE IS CONCERN NOT ONLY ME BUT MY FAMILY BACK HOME
8. HE DOESN'T QUESTION ME ON HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE HOUSE AND THE KIDS
BECAUSE I MAKE SURE "ALMOST" EVERYTHING IS TAKING CARE OF. MARK THE REASON

9. HE DOES NOT EXPECT ME TO BE PERFECT
10. WE TALK WHEN THINGS GONE "OUT OF THE ORDINARY" WHATEVER IT MAY BE.....HAVE
A SENSE OF HUMOR ABOUT THINGS BECAUSE WE LIKE TO LAUGH A LOT...MOST FILIPINO
WOMEN ARE VERY PRACTICAL, WE LOVE YOU FOR WHAT YOU ARE, RICH, POOR OR NOT SO
GOOD LOOKING. ALTHOUGH IF YOU ARE GOOD LOOKING THEN ITS A PLUS, HEHEHE...

Dear Josie & Delaney, I stumbled on your web-site while looking for information
on the Philippines. I have been married to a Filipina for 13 years. I met and
married her in Cebu City in 1993. We have a girl child who will be 10 in May.
We live in Michigan. I retired last July (05) and we are giving serious thought
to moving to Myraflor's home city of Cebu or a surrounding area. She and our
daughter have gone back to Cebu every 2 years, but I have not been there since
1993. I am for the idea, but its really scary too because of the unknowns.
Like schooling for Westi, security, etc.
We still have Filipino family in Cebu and they want us to come, but surely
that is a prejudice decision. I just need some unbiased reinforcement in making
this decision. I also have questions about managing our accounts in the US from
over there. (Bank to Bank type thing). We are in the process of applying for
Myraflor's dual citizenship, which has now become available to Filipino ladies
who lost it by by coming here and becoming a citizen. Is there anything you can
tell me to make this moving decision easier on my mine. I looked at the pictures
of your home. They look really nice.
And by the way, congratulations on the expected birth of your little girl.
